The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics at Xiamen University Malaysia is built on the idea that physics connects with other sciences and engineering. Research in physics often generates new concepts and technologies that advance multiple related fields.

The programme aims to produce graduates with advanced physics knowledge and skills beyond the undergraduate level. This strengthens Malaysia’s ability to contribute to and engage with the global physics community.

Through a research-oriented PhD, students work with academic staff from diverse disciplines. They develop research skills for both fundamental sciences and applied/engineering areas, while also gaining opportunities to participate in the worldwide physics community.

Entry Requirements

• A Masters' degree in Physics or related fields accepted by the HEP senate.
