  • Foundation / Pre-University Programs: 1 year (for SPM or equivalent holders) – examples include Foundation in Science, A-Levels, or Matriculation.

  • Diploma: 2–3 years, usually more practical/industry-focused.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Undergraduate): Typically 3–4 years depending on the field (e.g., 3 years for Arts/Business, 4–5 years for Medicine, Engineering, and Law).

  • Master’s Degree (Postgraduate): 1–2 years, coursework, research, or mixed mode.

  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD): 3–5 years, research-based.
